A special kind of festival is celebrated every year in Eckernförde – the Sprat Days. In addition to a wealth of culinary delights, the event also offers a varied music and entertainment program. Live music is offered at the port during this joyous weekend of celebrations, accompanied by sports competitions and water games without limits. Other highlights include workshops on the subject of sprats, nail competitions and stone painting, as well as city tours on the trail of the coveted fish. There is something for every taste. As a rule, the retailers in the city center have their shops open this weekend.
